New images - Virginia Allyn has just completed a range of illustrations for a major US and UK publisher. The illustrations, aimed at the children's market, use a gentle painterly style, combined with a wonderful use of colour.

We are pleased to announce that Carol Liddiment’s recently illustrated children’s book, Happy I’m A Hippo, has won the Coventry Inspirational Book Award 2008. The book, published by Scholastic, won best picture book in the What’s the Story category for 4-7 year olds. Carol’s illustrations look fantastic and she will be attending the award ceremony in June to receive her award. Well done Carol!

Alison Jay has produced artwork for London Fashion week in collaboration with Tesco. Alison was asked to produce 5 illustrations depicting ways in which we can all be Green Goddess’s. She illustrated ideas from Swapping/recycling clothes at fab “Swishing” parties to making sure you get rid of clothes in an environmentally friendly way, Tesco provides special bins in order to do this. The illustrations were printed beautifully to create the green fashionista guide and distributed during LFW.

Katherine and Gareth Lucas have produced some enchanting illustrations for
existing nursery rhythms for ‘Round and round the garden’ and ‘The Owl and the Pussy Cat’. Their sense of colour and light brings these illustrations to life and adds a magical dimension. Katherine and Gareth are now able to provide work in digital as well as traditional media.

Natacha Ledwidge has beautifully illustrated the latest top selling book from Penguin. Her black and white line work is wonderfully suited to the genre of the book and captures a time gone by with a twist. Her work is currently being displayed in the shop windows of Waterstone's across the country.
